The Renogy 12V 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter with Automatic Transfer Switch (SKU RIV1220PU-235-UK) provides 230V mains-style power from a correctly sized 12V leisure-battery bank. Its built-in 16A transfer switch prioritises a suitable external AC feed, then changes over to battery power if that supply is lost.

Installation and safety
A 2000W load on a 12V battery can require well over 160A before losses, so battery BMS rating, cable length/cross-section, fuse, isolation and alternator/solar charging must be engineered accordingly. Renogy calls for at least 50mm of top clearance and 102mm near the busbar side. Have the 230V installation, earthing/RCD provisions and changeover checked by a competent installer: a transfer switch does not replace electrical safety protection.
